I was so moved by this movie! Being exactly 181 years today since the founding of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I just had to post it immediately after seeing it. Regardless of what you believe about this religion and the man who founded it, this is a slice of history most Americans know little or nothing about and it is one of the greatest stories of faith and endurance among a people since the Revolutionary war and the displacement of the American Indians. I am still shocked that these things happened to innocent men, women, and children in THIS country and amazed at how well most of them endured it. I am very proud of my Mormon heritage and only pray to live up to my ancestors's legacy.

Great post! I felt the same way when I watched the movie.... how could this happen in this country? I'm proud of the pioneers and hope to be as brave as they were in my modern day trials.
